Be Transformed by the Renewing of your …… . .. ..
Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Beseech – to beg, to console,to encourage.
Mercies – a heart of compassion.
Present your bodies a living sacrifice – to bring into one’s fellowship or intimacy.
Holy, acceptable to God – not what man expects of you but God.
Reasonable service – its the minimum you can do.
Conformed to this world – you live in the world, but you’re not of it.
Transformed – to change into another form, to transform, to transfigure,
Christ appearance was changed and was resplendent with divine brightness on the mount of
transfiguration.
It starts with the mind with without your body can’t move.
Romans 8:5
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those
who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Learning the Word of God changes the way you think.
A life change by the Spirit comes from a mind fill with the Spirit.
Reading Luke Chapter 2
We here at IOC want to wish everyone a very Blessed and Merry Christmas and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season………. God Bless you and your families
Are you a Friend of Jesus? 4
James 2:23
And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him
for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
What do people see more often, you or God?
People today want to be friends with people they don’t even know. (Facebook)
People have anxiety over a game that not even the players don’t lose sleep over.
John 11:3-6,11
3 Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”
4 When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God,
that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”
5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
6 So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was.
Set the microwave to one second, Jesus i need you right now!
11 These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go
that I may wake him up.”
14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead””
32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to
Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He
groaned in the spirit and was troubled.
34 And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”
37 And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have
kept this man from dying?”
Jesus wept – shortest verse in the Bible but He feels what you feel.
People including self will always bring up what seems to be the obvious negatives.
If Jesus was his friend He should have been here earlier.
43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was
wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”
Jesus is never late or early but always right on time!
Jesus did His part as Lazarus friend, now He is asking you to do you r part as a friend.
As friend we need to help others take off their grave clothes off,
Are you a Friend of Jesus? 3
James 2:23
And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him
for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
Show me Your friends and i will tell you who you are!
What do people see more often, you or God?
Proverbs 27:17
17 As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
When was the last time you had a spiritual changing effect on your friend ?
When was the last time God had a changing effect in you?
You can’t help others if you are not changing yourself.
Galatians 2:11-14
11 Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be
blamed;
12 for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they
came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.
13 And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was
carried away with their hypocrisy.
14 But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to
Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews,
why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?
Friends are not afraid to be corrected.
If you can’t be corrected based on position, then you don’t have a true friend.
If it affected people publicly then public corrections are in order.
In spite of Peter‘s position in the church, he was humble enough to allow the Holy Spirit to
correct him through Paul.
Are you a Friend of Jesus? 2
James 2:23
And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him
for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
Friends believe each other.
Friends act on what they believe.
John 19:12
From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man
go, you are not Caesar’s friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”
There is loyalty in friendship.
A friend looks out for each other and is not a shame to let others know.
James 4:4
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?
Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Gods friendship is not being an acquaintance but having a relationship.
We live in this world not to become like it but be the example of Gods world.
Proverbs 27:17
17 As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
When was the last time you had a spiritual changing effect on your friend ?
Are you a Friend of Jesus?
James 2:23
And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him
for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
Friends believe each other.
Friends act on what they believe.
Proverbs 27:6
Faithful [are] the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy [are] deceitful.
True friends are honest about each other even if it hurts.
Fake friends tell you what you want to hear to get close enough to back stab you.
John 11:11
These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I
may wake him up.”
Jesus is never early but He is never late.
When you are a true friend of Jesus He will never let you down.
Whatever seems to be dying or dead in you, Jesus knows how to resurrect you.
Lets Fire It Up 4
2 Timothy 1:6-7
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my
hands.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
We all need to be reminded because we all go thru our up’s and downs.
Revelation 12:11
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and
they loved not their lives unto the death.
We need to learn how to be braver now, so that during trials and tribulations we are ready.
Intimacy is what brings closeness to God, so that we could have confidence.
Acts 6;14-15 7:54-60
14 “for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the
customs which Moses delivered to us.”
15 And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an
angel.
You want to look better then you are now? Get fill with the Holy Spirit.
54 When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their
teeth.
55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus
standing at the right hand of God,
56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of
God!”
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord;
58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at
the feet of a young man named Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my
spirit.”
60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.”
And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
People don’t want to hear truth.
The enemy will use what ever he has to, to silence the voice of God in you.
He fell asleep quickly, God heard his prayers and show mercy.
Lets Fire It Up 3
2 Timothy 1:6-7
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my
hands.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
We all need to be reminded because we all go thru our up’s and downs.
Daniel 2:47-49
47 The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings,
and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.”
48 Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over
the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.
49 Also Daniel petitioned the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego over the
affairs of the province of Babylon; but Daniel sat in the gatefn of the king.
Before promotion came Daniel and his friends stir each other up.
God gave them favor by giving them faith to seek Him for the answers.
Daniel 3:8 Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and accused the Jews.
Promotion brings persecution.
The flesh doesn’t like when the Spirit in you is moving you forward.
Daniel 3:14-18
14 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego,
that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up?
15 “Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and
psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I
have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a
burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?”
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar,
we have no need to answer you in this matter.
17 “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery
furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
18 “But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship
the gold image which you have set up.”
We need friends that walk with us to stir us up in the mist of hard times.
Daniel 3:19
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace
seven times more than it was usually heated.
Face changed towards – sometimes people who liked you will turn on you.
Daniel 3:25
25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not
hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Is Jesus walking with you in your fire?
It’s hard enough to stand thru any fire, but its harder when no one is standing with you.
“A three core fold is not easily broken” more is better then one!

Put what you are going thru next to what you are called to do, what you focus on will shadow
the other.
Stir up – inflame one’s mind, “This has the idea of stirring up a fire to keep it burning bright and
strong; a fire left to itself will always burn out, but God wants us to keep our gifts burning strong
for Him.”
You can’t wait on God to start what He already gave you, He is waiting on you to strike the
match.
Oil was use for fragrance, healing, anointing and fuel.
Maybe some of you need to be lay hands on again?
The spirit of fear doesn’t want part of you it wants all of you, to control you.
Only the fire of the Holy Spirit can stir you up, so surrender to Him now.
Do you want to be stir up?

How not to get deceived in these last days 5
2 Thessalonians 2:3
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away
comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
Falling away (apostasía) defection from the truth.
Galatians 1:6-12
6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to
a different gospel,
7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of
Christ.
8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have
preached to you, let him be accursed.
9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than
what you have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I
would not be a bondservant of Christ.
11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not
according to man.
12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of
Jesus Christ.
They is no revelation outside of the Holy Spirit.
Another gospel is man’s religion to control and manipulate you.
1 John 2:26-27 (NLT)
26 I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray.
27 But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to
teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he
teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
We have the Holy Spirit to lead us thru life, if we fellowship with Him daily.
Who you fellowship with daily determines the outcome of your walk.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who
does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out
demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice
lawlessness!’
Your work, your gift, your calling does not determine your relationship with Christ.
Practice lawlessness is the absence of practicing His Word in you.

2 Thessalonians 2:3
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away
comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
Falling away (apostasía) defection from the truth.
1 Peter 4:7-11 (CSB)
7 The end of all things is near; therefore, be alert and sober-minded for prayer.
8 Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
9 Be hospitable to one another without complaining.
10 Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied
grace of God.
11 If anyone speaks, let it be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, let it be from
the strength God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To
him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
Sober-minded – to be calm and collected, abstain from wine, watchful.
Let not your calmness be from an outside influence but the Spirit.
For Prayers – affected prayers come from the Holy Spirit.
Love is an action not just words.
Let us be good stewards in everything not just in church.
Hebrews 6:11-12 (CSB)
11 Now we desire each of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the full assurance of your
hope until the end,
12 so that you won’t become lazy but will be imitators of those who inherit the promises through
faith and perseverance.
Demonstrate – to prove, whether by arguments or by acts, show something in oneself.
Laziness comes upon you when you don’t show something anymore.
If we are not imitators of Christ, then what are we doing?

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away

Matthew 24:12-13
12 “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
13 “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
The 3 things a fire needs are heat, fuel and oxygen.
The 3 things we need for our heart not to grow cold is worship, the Word and prayer.
How much time do you give yourselves to Prayer, the Word and Worship.
Do you see yourself doing more or less then when you first got saved?
Now compare that with the people you have a relationship with?
Is my relationship with people more important then God?
Hebrews 3;12-14
12 Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and
unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.
13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be
deceived by sin and hardened against God.
14 For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will
share in all that belongs to Christ.
Again Paul is warning Christians to watch over there own hearts.
When you watch over your own hearts, you will do it for others also.
When you don’t watch over your own, then its harder to discern when others are falling away
including yourself.
Do you have the same zeal and love about God as when you first believe?
People who say “maybe not the same because I’m more mature now” the real facts is they are
already falling and are in self deception.
How not to get deceived in these last days- in God’s Grace (2)
2 Thessalonians 2:3
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away

2 Timothy 3:1-5
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
Perilous time – hard to do, hard to bear, through the idea of reducing the strength of one.
The lack of knowing the Word and accountability weakens your endurance.
The desires of the flesh becomes stronger then the Spirit in you, vs 2-5
A form of godliness is self deception, and easy to deceive others.
In the last days, it will be harder to stand for Christ in every area of life.
2 Timothy 4:3-5a
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own
desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
5 But you be watchful in all things,
Doctrine – Learning who and why we believe.
If you don’t know and stand on truth, you will fall for anything.

Ecclesiastes 4:12

2 Samuel 23:13-17
13 Then three of the thirty chief men went down at harvest time and came to David at the cave of Adullam. And the troop of Philistines encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.
14 David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
15 And David said with longing, “Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
16 So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to the LORD.
17 And he said, “Far be it from me, O LORD, that I should do this! Is this not the blood of the men who went in jeopardy of their lives?” Therefore he would not drink it. These things were done by the three mighty men.
The right friends are the ones who knows your heart.
Good friends finds ways to bring you joy.

Luke10:1-2
1 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.
2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Jesus taught them how to work together, the way He work with His Father.
They were to go ahead to prepare the way of His visitation.
We ought to go into the harvest to prepare the way for people to receive salvation.

Two is better then one.
It makes a difference when you have someone there for you.

2 Samuel 23:8-12
8 These are the names of David’s mightiest warriors. The first was Jashobeam the Hacmonite, who was leader of the Three—the three mightiest warriors among David’s men. He once used his spear to kill 800 enemy warriors in a single battle.
9 Next in rank among the Three was Eleazar son of Dodai, a descendant of Ahoah. Once Eleazar and David stood together against the Philistines when the entire Israelite army had fled.
10 He killed Philistines until his hand was too tired to lift his sword, and the LORD gave him a great victory that day. The rest of the army did not return until it was time to collect the plunder!
11 Next in rank was Shammah son of Agee from Harar. One time the Philistines gathered at Lehi and attacked the Israelites in a field full of lentils. The Israelite army fled,
12 but Shammah held his ground in the middle of the field and beat back the Philistines. So the LORD brought about a great victory.

Mark 2:1-5
1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days,
and it was heard that He was in the house.
2 Immediately many gathered together,
so that there was no longer room to receive them,
not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.
3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.
4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd,
they uncovered the roof where He was.
So when they had broken through, they let down the bed
on which the paralytic was lying.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic,
“Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
These are true friends that will believe and go beyond the present circumstances.

Daniel 2:16-19
16 So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time, that he might tell the king the interpretation.
17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,
18 that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19 Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
Do you have a circle within your circle?
You become like the ones you choose to hangout with.
Even Jesus had His own circle that was close to Him.
Matthew 4:11
Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
In the beginning of His calling, Jesus’ son of man needed strength from heaven.
His calling came not from men but from God.
The devil knows if you are saved.
Matthew 17:1-3
1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;
2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
Out of the 12 disciples Jesus had three that were closer to Him.
These three were taken to a higher spiritual enlightenment.
The three of them had a great impact in developing the church.
They inspired each other to the very end to finish the call of God in their lives.
Who is inspiring you? Who are you inspiring to do the work of God!

Acts 11:15-18
15 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning.
16 “Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
17 “If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?”
18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”
This has happen to Each one of us that are saved.
Last week most of you proved it when you moved in Faith.
They spoke in tongues and prophesy.
Romans 8:26-27
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

1 Corinthians 14:4-5

5 I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification.

Acts 10:19-22
19 While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are seeking
you.
20 “Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them.”
21 Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said, “Yes,
I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?”
22 And they said, “Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good
reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon
you to his house, and to hear words from you.”
The Spirit of God is about to breakout on Peters obedience.
Acts 10:42-46a
42 “And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained
by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.
43 “To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive
remission of sins.”
The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the
word.
45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter,
because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Acts 19;2-6
1 And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper
regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples
2 he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him,
“We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”
3 And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”
4 Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that
they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with

30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the
deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
By the Spirit we have the ability to sacrifice the flesh.
True sons are led by relationships.

1 John 1:1-3
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—
2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—If
3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
You can’t declare what you don’t understand.
Not until the infilling of the Holy Spirit could their know Father and Son.
John 14:16-17
16 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
